Jerome has 35 years of experience in the financial markets.
Jerome started his career in 1986 as an interest rate futures and options trader at Banque Paribas Capital Markets in Paris – when Erich was at the same time one of his fierce competitors and a good friend. He then transferred to Paribas New York in 1989 to set up and head the foreign exchange and commodity options trading team, until 1992. He moved to sales from that time, heading FX sales for Europe until 1996.
He left Paribas to head the derivatives structuring and sales team of Nomura International in London before being promoted to head of fixed income, credit and FX sales in Europe.
In 2001, Jerome moved on to run the European sales for Bear Stearns international in London, covering all products and derivatives excluding equities.
He exited the City in 2003 to focus on direct investments in commercial real estate and hotel businesses, as well as some active angel investing in technology startups where he followed the birth of Fintech that reunited him recently with Erich at Smart Lenders AM that he joined in early 2015 just after the launch.
Jerome graduated with an MsC in Business Management from University Paris Dauphine, followed by a Master in Finance (DESS 203).
